Update with pics:

This is the first rosewood guitar I have ever owned, and I am duly impressed with the sound. It’s only the second Guild acoustic I have ever owned (fourth Guild overall). Owner did not mention the pickup, which sounds decent (active but no EQ). Only real damage apart from a couple minor dings is missing heel cap. Case is in good shape. Gold tuners almost appear untouched!

Strings are old and guitar probably needs a setup. Action might be a little high, but there’s so much saddle left, and playability is good right now. I’m guessing it’s strung with mediums.

I have wanted one of these, or a GF, since the year they came out and I played one at Richie’s Music in Jersey. Very happy to have it. Now I have Guild Acquisition Syndrome 🙃

Nice score on an unusual Guild. Definitely get it set up and otherwise checked out. May it make you happy for a long time.

That looks super clean Fuman. Gorgeous spruce as well as the rosewood. Yeah, a good set up, new strings and you’ll want to take her to bed with you.

Out of curiosity how wide is the nut, 1-11/16 or slightly wider?

Nice! Enjoy the reverberation and overtones of the luscious rosewood!

i just went to reverb and there is a 1996 GV52 Rosewood and Abalone rosette for $1350. fuman, is this like the one you purchased? I wish you good luck with it, Every Guild Dread. that I've played and had great tone separation and sustain.
What is a reasonable price for one in good condition?

That guitar on reverb is a “DV52” dreadnought. The GV52 is a mini jumbo sized guitar. They are a bit uncommon. The DV52 is a great dread though

I apologize for the distraction....my dyslexic tendencies got the best of me with the G / D; hasn't been an issue with chords so far. I was not aware that Guild made more than 2 sizes of conventional shaped guitars. I only knew of the Jumbo and the Troubadour.
