If it’s anything like my DV52 it ought to be a nice sounding guitar. Had no idea they made a jumbo version.

Just bought a GV-52 on Reverb. Will update on arrival. I was next-to-last bidder on an F40 Traditional on eBay and dropped out on a great deal for some reason. The next day, my dream guitar fell in my lap. I’m really excited!!
Was it an Oxnard F40? Were you aware those have 17" lower bouts? ;)

I have owned GV-52 #87 since 2016. I think you’re about to be very happy! I’m looking forward to your report when you get it.

To Adorshki -- Yes; I have wanted a Guild for so long, and I was having trouble finding a GF-60 rosewood or a GV-52 and have heard great things about the new F40 Traditional. In the end I dropped out at a low price because I decided to wait for what I really wanted. I have been close a few times to getting a full jumbo, but this size has been on my bucket list a long time. I love the maple ones, but I already have a maple guitar of a similar size and I'm not quite ready to sell it.

The rosette on that thing is dynamite. Great looking guitar.

You may recall I have an F65ce, same outline, shallow-body maple archback. My pipe dream is now an F47Rce with 24-3/4 scale and 1-11/16 nut. A unicorn.

Otherwise a GV52 is the ultimate expression of that shape. Or maybe a GV70. ;):D
