Just bought a GV-52 on Reverb. Will update on arrival. I was next-to-last bidder on an F40 Traditional on eBay and dropped out on a great deal for some reason. The next day, my dream guitar fell in my lap. I’m really excited!!
It is a jumbo body shape but there is only one size - 16 inch lower. If it’s anything like my DV52 it ought to be a nice sounding guitar. Had no idea they made a jumbo version.
Was it an Oxnard F40? Were you aware those have 17" lower bouts?Just bought a GV-52 on Reverb. Will update on arrival. I was next-to-last bidder on an F40 Traditional on eBay and dropped out on a great deal for some reason. The next day, my dream guitar fell in my lap. I’m really excited!!
You may recall I have an F65ce, same outline, shallow-body maple archback. My pipe dream is now an F47Rce with 24-3/4 scale and 1-11/16 nut. A unicorn. To Adorshki -- Yes; I have wanted a Guild for so long, and I was having trouble finding a GF-60 rosewood or a GV-52 and have heard great things about the new F40 Traditional. In the end I dropped out at a low price because I decided to wait for what I really wanted. I have been close a few times to getting a full jumbo, but this size has been on my bucket list a long time. I love the maple ones, but I already have a maple guitar of a similar size and I'm not quite ready to sell it.
