Fellas, someone put a pickup in it somewhere along the line. The nut and saddle (what's left of it) are plastic (best I can tell without my specs :shock: ). I'll ask Ross to replace them with deer bone. Can't get over the fantastic low end bass coming out of it even with the old strings.

Plan to take 'Gus' to Ross this week sometime...

By the gray wire, I'd almost lean toward factory option. It's a long shot on a D-25 though... I've just seen that wire in a ton of Guild gear. Of course, holding the guitar and owning it, you would probably know best.

Well, I'm a little surprised, Ken. Looks to me like those old strings suck.

Mark, Yep, those are Texas guitar strings all right. Everytime I start to get my callouses back, I rip another darn finger right off...
