Well now, isn't that just the prettiest thing. Just like mine, except for the non-warped pickup cover. That looks like it's in great shape. If you ever do want to sell it, please be sure to put it up on this board before taking it out to the great unwashed.

I love these. Yours looks a *lot* like the one I sold almost three years ago as I was working my way toward an upgrade. You didn't buy it from a guy in Michigan, did you?

Sniff. I want it back!

Here's an old pic:

"How did it play?"

Not veyr well when I got it, but I had it refretted by Chris Forshage down here in Austin, and it was great after that. Very comfortable fairly chunky soft-V neck, and perfect action.

If this isn't it, I wonder if I should look it up....

As I look closer at it, it might be even better shape than mine. The finish close to the egdes look a little worn on mine but the wood is all in great shape. I didn't do anything to this one and it plays nice. My D-35 Ive had to adjust the neck several times to get it right.

I remember that mine had some finish flaking issues right along the edge, too -- pretty common on old Guilds. There was one spot where the binding was separating in the waist (you can see it in this pic), and a couple of small binding patches at the heel and end block. Apart from that, it had aged really well.

These were cool guitars.

WELL I PUT HER UP FOR SALE ON EBAY. I DECIDED AFTER 3 YEARS OF PLAYING I REALLY WANT A FENDER TELECASTER, LIKE I SAID BEFORE I PROBABLY WILL NEVER GET RID OF MY D35 BUT I THINK I WOULD GET MORE USE FROM A NEW GUITAR. MAYBE IN TEN YEARS (I"LL BE 65) I'LL BE SELLING A TELECASTER TO PAY FOR A HEARING AID.
