These were my notes on the 1980's Guild acoustic pickup systems. Some of this was posted years ago but this was the latest revision I had made.

The Barcus Berry "Balanced Phase" version was only used in the early 80's I believe. It was quickly replaced by Guild with the Fishman LFT-EQ1 system and then finally in the late 80's with the Fishman AGP-2 and ABGP-2(bass) systems. (see following posts)

I used your notes from an old thread to fix the amp in one of my guitars. Thanks for posting it!

A note to anyone who's inclined to work on one of these: If you look at the schematic the ICs show +3V and -3V. This does not mean +3V and GND! It means you have three wires coming from the 2xAA battery pack with one on the negative of the first battery (-3V) one in the middle (GND) and one at the top of the other battery (+3V). The guitar I was fixing had been "fixed" by a luthier (a luthier is not necessarily good with electronics) so that the battery pack was wired +3V and GND. He just clipped that middle wire right off. Thankfully this did not destroy the ICs (and in fact they can be re-biased for a wide variety of voltages) and I was able to get it working again.
