Thanks to all for clearing that up!

There's a Venetian Causeway (pretty pic here) in Miami that connects mainland Miami with Miami Beach ... not Venice FL (the one that isn't sinking)taabru45 said:I gave to that charity once....The Venetian Blind...
Well, by golly, you may be right. In Spanish the word is "navarra", not "navarre" as it is in french.sitka_spruce said:The word being of spanish origin I would pronounce it as such: Nah-varr-eh with the emphasis on "varr". That E is definately not silent, as I believe there are no silent Es in spanish.

Hi Jonas; the word 'Navarra' is Spanish ... the word 'Navarre' is the name of a province in France taking its name from a historical area formerly spanning the French-Spanish border. Considering that the F30 was called the Aragon, a region of Spain, arguably the F50 would continue the Spanish-flavored names maybe out of respect to the 'Spanish' guitar (not to be confused with the Bulgarian guitar). Except that Guild apparently chose the French - not the Spanish - spelling of the word ... and since we are typing and not speaking ....sitka_spruce said:The word being of spanish origin I would pronounce it as such: Nah-varr-eh with the emphasis on "varr".
