As we have seen in recent months, there have been a few changes to the Guild logo and brand. Here is a portfolio page of the rebranding campaign created by Brian Leach, Flolab. Really, really kewl, and I want a koozie (at least one!) :D :D 8) As of now, these items are not availabe (except t-shirts and hat) at the Guild online store. We can hope, huh?

Funny to see those Koozies. I was just thinking the other day, "Some Guild koozies would be cool!"
I never use the things, But with all the heat we're having here, A friend gave me a set as a suprise gift. We often have a few beers on the back porch swing. They are actually helpful, and I can get used to using them....and, They DO keep the beer cooler. The one's I was given, are not to my liking, but 'work', so I'll use them, But a nice set of Guild branded ones sure would be nice.
( Not that orange color though  )

Me neither, but those immediately reminded me of the every first Cooper's Ale I had some 30 years ago, probbly due to the red, black & white color scheme. (they do look just that shade of red on my monitor  )
In fact, even the bottle tops are the right shape!

A little late to the party here, but is this Ryan Adams? Sure looks like him!

I've never seen him play any acoustics other than old Harmony Sovereigns. Cool thread Toni!

You remember well Al. :D Great beer, and the old bottles were retro cool as well. I'd love to 'refresh' your memory with a cold sixpack one day!
'Could' be Ryan Adams............I know he played a D-25 (all hog, flatback)early on in his career, So that would be cool if he's back on Guilds. Both those posters look great. My daughter liked the Starfire one. :D :D
I'll try to get her a nice copy of it..........Hopefully, It'll inspire her.

I'd sure love one of those glasses, as it is I have to make do with my Guild coaster from LMG I and a plain pilsner glass for my made in New England Ipswich IPA :D I know, it's a pilsner glass not an ale glass, but still my favorite beer glass shape.

The questions are:

1. Are they giving these out at NAMM?
2. Can we get our NAMM-bound LTGers to snarf 'em up for the rest of us?

:) :)

Heck, I don't care about color or bottle-opener attachment, I'd buy one (or several) koozies....if they are available. ;) 8)

Motto: Drink and Play. OMGosh, I'm promoting the drinking of adult beverages...but, then again, LTG already has a Single Malt Club, so I think I'm safe. ;)

Maybe I'm too cynical but Toni's link was to the portfolio of a graphic designer. The text does not make it clear whether Guild actually implemented the design ideas or not. My experience with other artistic portfolios suggests that if Guild had actually bought the campaign then the designer would be trumpeting that fact. I'd even consider a small wager that the koozies only existed in photoshop.

I could be wrong and maybe the designer is under a gag order until the products and campaign are released but like I said, I'm cynical.

Nowthatchyoomentionit, some thing did look a little "off' about the persepective of the logos on the merchandise.

RE: Ryan Adams. Although I can't find a good photo to post, it seems that one of Ryan's most trusted first guitars was a D25 (cherry with a huge decal of the Indy 500 on the lower bout). :)

P.S. As you know, Sandy, I'm originally from Indiana and frequented the Indy 500 racetrack growing-up, I smiled when I saw the decal. :)

I guess I never saw Ryan in his Guild years, but I did find a pic on the Ryan Adams Archive. the guy in the Guild ad could be his twin!

Shame he had to defile that nice old D25 with that sticker

Great photo, Sandy! Thanks for finding it and posting! So, if I take this correctly, Ryan Adams is now a featured Guild artist? Soooooooooooo kewl! I really, really love his music! 8) :D

I didn't know you were a fan Toni. I've been a huge fan since the Whiskeytown days, and his latest "Ashes and Fire" is a real gem, too. Ryan's been playing a Harmony Sovereign and a red, white and blue Buck Owens Silvertone as of late, thought the Buck Owens was really just a rebranded Harmony that was sold at Sears

What's amazing is how good those guitars both sound on the 2011 KCRW Sessions that this picture came from. Almost made me want to buy one, until I realized that I already have too many guitars!

I think the jury needs to remain out on this one. No one mentioned Ryan Adams until Sandy asked if that was him with the 12. We still don't have a definite ID. Furthermore we are talking about a concept for a marketing and branding campaign, which Guild might not have bought, so the photo could have been of someone else or altered by the graphic designer.

The campaign is pretty neat, but the two or three designers I know are not actually allowed to post a their design work in a portfolio if the work had been purchased for a campaign. They have to wait until a certain time has elapsed or the company actually uses the campaign. So what I think we are looking at is a designer's concept and not anything Guild has vetted and will be using.

IMO YMMV

Holy Crap, Jamie, it seems that Guild has already bought the campaign ideas. I'm going to refer you to a picture you posted of PlayinPotter's new 60th's F30 Anniversary Guild case badge. It is the same as one of the designs presented on Brian Leach's portfolio website. Logical inference applies here, I believe.

I can't confirm Ryan Adams as a Guild featured artist...that was the reason for the question. All we do know is that Ryan Adams has owned and played a Guild D25 at some time during his career.

Chill, Bro........
