For some odd reason an old story I'd heard during an interview (I think w/ Daryl Hall) popped up in my head and it made me belly laugh...again! It was 1985, and Bob Geldoff got together w/ Quincy Jones (and Michael Jackson) to call on a bunch of the industry's A listers to give their time to film/record the song We Are The World to help fight rampant starvation in Africa. About 50-60 super mega stars were all packed in a studio rehearsing when during a break, someone (I forget who?) says, "You all do realize if a comet were to hit this building tonight, f#%&cking Pat Boone would be back on top!" 🤣🤣🤣

;): The situation could have been almost acceptable, if it were Pat as he once was:

Right - makes you wonder if they understand the difference between :
- enjoying it while there.
- trying to figure afterwards what it was like.

I remember seeing that episode though I don't remember what the show was
What's Happening. Rerun (Fred Berry) bootlegs the Doobie Brothers. It has original recordings for the new Michael McDonald version of the band, and as they set up most of the band's live equipment for the taping, it's an interesting time capsule of vintage equipment. as opposed to a typical mime to backing tracks.

I do remember a photo of a grandma at the barriers of a show somewhere and all the kids around her were trying to capture it on their phones.... and fussing and worrying. She was just leaning on the barrier and enjoying the moment. Sometimes, you just have to enjoy the moment. I have tons of memories, and as long as I have them, I'll enjoy them. If there comes a time that I don't or can't remember anymore.... no amount of photos or vids will help. I hope it never comes to that, you know??

I had third row tickets to Halestorm a few months ago . I got this pic of a guy in the first row taking a movie of the guy in the second row taking a movie of Lzzy Hale.

The guy in the second row spent the entire concert with his phone up like that, but he was also kind of grooving to the music so 90% of what he filmed was just a bouncy mess.
