Said I would never do it but these days I am never playing acoustic and could use the money. Putting this out as a feeler, I am considering selling my beloved D25M. Comes with OHSC. In 9 out of 10 condition with I bought it from a guy who got it new and never set it up because the action was perfect from the factory. Enough saddle to be lowered for years and years. My luthier said the neck was set perfect, action is nice and low already and he said he barely shaved the saddle at all when I had it setup. Very little noticeable wear on the frets. A few Scratches here and there but no cracks, issues, repairs, etc. Pains me to even think about selling this one. Would like to get $465 plus shipping with payment via paypal gift, if I can;t get that I will be happy to keep it. Paypal (gift/personal), check or money order is ok. More pics available upon request, ask any questions you may have. <the back is the same color as the front, for some reason the pic i took is discolored, white spot on pguard is a reflection>

Selling you first Guild?!?!?!......Again?!?!?!?! Well coming from someone who has recently struggled with the "letting go" of a nice D25, let me tell you it is a tough decision. I ended up hanging onto mine. I was convinced by others that even though you do not play it all the time it may still be worth hanging onto for those rare moments when a great dread is needed. So I still have mine. I pulled it out of the case and keep it now on a stand....and Joe was right. It does get played more now. Just think about it. It is always good to have a nice acoustic around...just in case. I bet Muddy Waters always had an acoustic nearby.

Aahh Mojo, once again your killin me :| When you were selling your other one I was secretly hoping it was this one. Then I had the money, now I don't ! That's because I put some cash down on a " gulp " Om1 Martin :)
Good luck with the sale and if you asked me ,,, at this price it is a steal

yep, it'll be tough to let this one go if someone ends up showing interest. i do keep this one on the guitar stand and always readily available but i find myself playing it less and less these days and reaching for the SFIV if i want something acoustic sounding. Of course this is just a feeler so that usually means unless someone buys it within 72 hours it will be staying right here! 8)

Well you could always get your money back from the Martin! haha! nah I am sure that is a sweet guitar as well. I still don;t regret selling the burst D25, this one will be much harder to let go of.

:D Funny thing, the "moments" tend to be that much more rewarding for their "rarity". Kind
of like pulling out an album you haven't listened to for a LONG time and thinking "Man, I forgot how good this was!", but better.
Mojo, you listenin'?
(Sorry Joe. I know you're startin' to jones for another '25.)

If I had as much money as I have interest, I'd not only buy your D25, Mojo, but I'd buy a Guild for everyone here!

I'd be one of the world's great philanthropists....if only I could pick up a couple million here and there!

That's not Mahogany, is it ? In the picture the back looks like Rosewood, but on a D25? Arch Back ? If I only had $500......

I HAVE a Corona (no not a beer)...what I really need is a Tacoma. NO, not a truck. And not brain damage. BRAIN!! That's it! JOE, I need a brain! OOPS! I mean I need a Tacoma! Maybe one o' them 12 string jobs. Or even one o' them "moderns"...what'd they call 'em...oh yeah, "Contemporary".... :D
In the end though I'd prob'ly settle for a nice home-cooked chinese meal. Or at least the cook. :D

That's a fine looking one. And I prefer them without the chesterfield (like this one).
I don't think D25's ever got chesterfields. One of the "economies" of it being an entry level model. Or was that just a generalized statement of preference?

Yes, I think all models look better without the davenport, but I was indeed mistaken in thinking that D25's got them.

Here's an often overlooked detail though...Mojo's guitar has a wide headstock. Westerlys sported the narrow stock dating from the Gruhn-Walker restyling, ca '86. I thought I actually saw a Corona with a narrow 'stock in one of the listings a few months back, but I might be mistaken.
