I know we are a bit off-topic here. But Taylor's S/N 10109 to 10146 were made in 1975, so if your's from 1974 it does not have a serial number at all yet, correct?Terry Allan Hall said:Knew it was a very early model, but assume that w/ 3 guys working there (as I've heard there was in '74), the output would've been higher than a half-dozen...I'd've thought more like 30 or so.

By 1975, Taylor Guitars had made 36 instruments, including the 810, a six-string, rosewood dreadnought with the company’s trademark mustache-shaped bridge. Serial numbers that year began with the number 10, to denote the firm’s first full year in business."
