Hi All - I have one of the above I'd like to sell. It seems to be 1990/91 as far as I can tell from the serial number, c/w hardcase.
Any interest? I am based in the UK, west of London.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Your guitar sounds enticing, but I'm really west of London so I'd best not get involved.
We do have UK members so stay tuned and stay in tune.
**Do you have any photos to further entice prospective buyers?

Best of luck with the sale,
Joe

It works just fine, and that's a nice looking Guild you have there.
So, are you interested in selling only to UK members/in the UK or are you prepared to sell and ship anyplace else?

Curiosity rules,
Joe

Happy to ship as long as someone's prepared to pay for the shipping...

Hello mattacjones,

Welcome! The F-47RCE was introduced during the late '90s. Maybe you should tell us what the serial number is, so we can date it properly.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Hi, sure, its ak 000916. Thanks for the help. I found another with very close number on gbase.com dated early 90s. Couldn't find it at guild.com

Hello mattacjones,

That would make it an F-47RCE from 1999.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks Hans - can I ask where you got that info? I looked at the guild site and the AK series ended way back, and certainly a lot lower numerically than mine. I 'guessed' mine from a dealer ad, but looking back he has made a mistake listing a similar serial as 1990. However, further down he describes it as 90's - probably a typo.
All the best

Matt...you just got the date from the guy who literally wrote the book on Guild. http://www.amazon.com/Guild-Guitar-Book ... 0634009664 .and knows more about Guild than Guild...You can safely know the date of your guitar...and probably the month if you look on the neck block on the inside. All the combined knowledge on this forum would fit on a few pages without what we have learned from Hans....and he pipes up with a really good joke once in a while too, that is a really lovely guitar you have...never met one but would sure like to... :D Steffan

I'll echo what Steffan said and I'll go so far as to add that Hans is known by many here as THE Guild guru.

And then I must ask Steffan if he ever met a Guild he didn't like.
Well, Steffan, have you?

It's probably beneficial to know that you're certainly not alone, especially in this neighborhood!
