Yesterday, I bought an old beauty from forum member frosty and drove through some horrific weather to bring it back with me to the office and then home in the evening.
Last night, I put in some quality time with the guitar, cleaning it up, oiling the fretboard and polishing the frets, cleaning up the "Pat Pend" tuners, changing the strings to put on new EXP PB custom lights, and finally putting a quarter turn on the truss rod. I proceeded to play it for another hour or so before packing it in for the night.
Today I brought the guitar back into the office and three of my coworkers who all play extremely well were absolutely floored by this baby.
The sound and playability of the F-50R really suit me. It's a rich, lush sounding instrument. The perfect 6-string brother to my F512 which is, quite simply, my favorite guitar in the stable, hands down.
I'm staring at both of them, on stands, in my living room right now. I'm thinking I must be doing something right in my life. Unfortunately, I broke my camera yesterday trying to take pictures inside the soundhole, so you guys will have to wait for a good picture until I replace it.
I want to express my thanks to frosty for such a pleasant transaction. LTG, if it weren't for you guys I wouldn't have ever thought about such a purchase... And, finally... Guild, if any of you are out there, thanks for building such a magnificent instrument.

Guild was pretty sloppy with the glue, eh?:
