I swapped out the saddles and the pins today from the mahogany to the rosewood. I had to made a shim as the mahogany one has an USP so was cut quite lower. Also had to shave just a tad off of the length to fit, but the end result is exactly what I was hoping the RW would sound like.
I put JP PB lights on it and they'll take a day or two to settle in, but first impressions are very good. Full sound, robust even. Great highs, great bass, good mids.
Now I need to get a saddle made for it and some bone pins.
I'm very happy with it now.

The mahogany one is stellar in sound. I had pretty much sworn off mahogany but I remember sitting on Scratch's front porch playing this guitar last year and it just sounded very nice.
Now when I get a new saddle and pins for the RW one they should be a very nice pair. After that on to find a maple one. :shock: :mrgreen:
