Yeah, what FNG said! The Tacoma-built D-50's are among the nicest acoustic guitars I've ever played. I had the opportunity to play a couple of them at Elderly Instruments in their acoustic guitar room. Lots of Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, Guilds, Collings, Huss & Dalton, etc. for comparison, the Tacoma D-50 was one of the bright spots in the room, just outstanding. There were obviously other great sounding guitars there, but they cost twice as much as the Guild. The new D-50 was going for about $1,500 at the time.

Yup, this thread was from, over 8 years ago. :) My time flies.

Anyway, DWstrummer, I'm really glad you like your MIM DV-6. Like I mentioned, the ones I tried didn't do it for me. The DV-4 (mahogany) was my choice, but the raw feel and kinda sloppy headstock would've kept me away anyway.
