This guitar popped out today for sale in Finland - only 40€ - and he says it is fully working.
But what about that headstock shape. No better pics - seller says it is DeArmond - body sure looks like my M55

Kind of a different looking headstock for a DeArmond; looks like it was re-cut on top for some reason, part of the logo was removed in the process.

Right - maybe he or someone before him was trying to make it look more like Les Paul 🙄
Have to ask him send me a close-up.

Then again - only 40€ . . .

believe the 66 had a carved top instead of just a flat wood slab body the lesser M-6X models had.
The difference between M-66 and M-77T was also that the M-66 had a solid agathis body which top was carved whereas the M-77T had a agathis chambered body with a carved maple top.

I didn't think the M-66 did had the Gold-Tone pickups the M-7X instruments had -
- they're referred to in the catalog as "DeArmo-tron" (gotta love that name 😆).
And the "DeArmo-trons" (modeled on classic Filter'Tron humbuckers) in the M-66 had no USA on the cover vs. the Gold-Tones.

Was watching one of the DeArmond Gold Tone pickups recently for sale on ebay,
wondering if the selling price was good, bad or ugly. These don't come up
for sale very often. Almost went for it, just because I don't see them much and
do see DeArmond S-73s occasionally with the original pickups damaged or replaced
with something else.
