The diamond neck inlays are larger on the F44/46 than on the GF60M and GF60R.
As a general rule yes. But I believe early GF-60R had the same large inlays... Can't proof it at the moment. There was a thread or two in the past about this topic.
According to the owner this is a 1987 GF-60 Bld (Maple):
But you are right, the guitars Clapton sold at Christies and Juliens have small inlays!

Christies showed a strange one, named F-46NT with a S/N KJ100096 and neck block date

Can't be a NT if it is a burst one...
