Well I see th "Rare Custom D-50 Cool One of a Kind Guild Butterfly" on ebay is up to $2,999.99 with 6 bids. Either this guy is bidding on his own guitar to get the price up or someone is going to be real disappointed.

I tried emailing this bonehead several times but he won't back off with his outrageous claims of originality, blah blah blah. "Re-listed because of a technicality in the wording". (Reality: I claimed it was Brazilian rosewood, but I lied, and several people called my bluff, so I had to re-list it)

Well, there's a little over one day left on this auction. Any ideas on how to de-rail this moron?

Best way is to just ignore him. And yes, someone will be disappointed, whoever wins that auction.

 Well, he pulled the listing because of an "error" again. Maybe the Nimrod finally figured out half his photos were of some electric guitar

Something tells me we haven't seen the last of this thing. Stay tuned...(that's a joke, son) :D

JD might be considering changing his screen name to Nimrod; he understands it to mean 'Great Hunter'; he's right (see below) and he's probably a pretty good hunter.

"In the Bible and in legend, Nimrod, son of Cush, grandson of Ham, great-grandson of Noah, was a Mesopotamian monarch and "a mighty hunter before Yahweh". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimrod_(king)

Growing up, we meant it the way you oops'ed it. I don't remember any of us saying, after someone screwed up: "Nice going Mesopotamian Monarch"..

Perhaps a closer look at the Old Testament would reveal that Nimrod did something stupid along the way to make his name somewhat synonymous with Snafu. Perhaps the mighty hunter mistook a flock of domestic sheep for wild critters, slew them entirely and wound up vigorously sued.

I can imagine the trial now. "Gentlemen of the jury, have mercy on my client, Nimrod, for he is a well-meaning but foolish Nimrod."

No biblical scholars on the LTG forum? Grahamster? Coastie?

Nope, no custom inlay D50's for this Nimrod. If I'm going to have inlay, it will be from the factory.

Speaking of custom stuff, did you guys see the D25 with John Denver's auto go for $2500 the other night. I'm trying to get down Elvis' autograph with my Sharpie and plan to sell them all.

Childsplay, mouse button, left click, Nimrod, & out she pops.

"First, what does the name Nimrod mean? It comes from the Hebrew verb marad, meaning "rebel." Adding an "n" before the "m" it becomes an infinitive construct, "Nimrod." (see Kautzsch 1910: 137 2b, also BDB 1962: 597). The meaning then is "The Rebel." Thus "Nimrod" may not be the character's name at all. It is more likely a derisive term of a type, a representative, of a system that is epitomized in rebellion against the Creator, the one true God. Rebellion began soon after the Flood as civilizations were restored"

It would appear the rebellion continues.

Yes, but only in places of no flooding....or iPod shortages.
