That is downright beautiful! I can't wait to see the finished product.

I think you’re right about scale length. I was thinking it was 26-3/4, but either way, as a baritone size, it will work great at 27”. Regarding the endpin, I’ll use a Waverly screw mounted strap button positioned right where the four center diamonds meet. When the strap is off, everything will look fine, when on, the strap will cover it anyway…
Martin's Pete Seeger Baritone 12-String has a 27.5" inch scale, so you are in the ballpark. I looked at the Waverly screw-mounted strap button and got a bit weak in the knees. Not sure I'd trust that small screw on any of my guitars over the long haul. I guess your luthier is the best one to consult on that issue.

Those strap pin screws are much larger and stronger than they look in photos. I have them on at least 25 guitars and have never had a failure.

And, they make many colors to match the woods and hardware of most acoustics. The Ivoroid, Dark Tortoise and Snakewood are especially good looking. For extra security, I place strap stoppers on them

Can't argue with that testimonial. In any case, I did have one of Waverly's more traditional-looking end pins installed on one of my Guilds to match my replacement Ivoroid bridge pins. Yeah, it's a nice matching combination.

After wanting the elusive F612 forever, I decided to have a guitar custom built by Michael Kerry in TX based on the specs.
Wow, dude, that's taking the bull by the horns! Major congratulations on a great idea!

Wow......he's about 50 miles from me!

West
He is very gracious about receiving visitors with advance notice and allowing them to visit his shop. He only builds about 5 or 6 guitars a year, always to a customer’s specs. His contact info is on his site.

I also like it pickguardless!! The rosette is beautiful and the top wood (well all the wood) and I think the PG is just too much. I love a guitar with no pickguard. So, I agree with Charlie!! (y)
