Clockwise from top left, Paige traditional, Old Reliable, Planet Waves NS, Kyser, 2 shubbs, Colorado, Paige newer. Elliott 16" radius is in the middle.

The Elliott goes on as easy, or easier, than any of the others except the Kyser.

The Elliott affects the tuning the same, or less than, the others. The threading is so precise, I can quickly and easily "feel" the exact minimum pressure needed.

The curve attached to the screw of the Elliott conforms to all of my necks as well or better than the others. I have no fear whatsoever of denting the neck.

The Elliot is substantially lighter than the others.

It subjectively sounds better than any of the others. This might be subconscious bias due to the steep price, but I don't think so. YMMV of course.

I'm playing Martin 00028s these days (16" radius), and the Elliott fits them perfectly. I have 2 Guild Dreads that, sadly, I play very little, as Dreads aren't comfortable as I've aged. They have a 12" radius, I believe. I don't own a Collings.

I think it's fabulous that you love your Elliott Curlington, and mine is just fine. Having said that, the middle capo in the original post is a D'Addario capo, and I think it fits as well as and is as light as my Elliott. For me, it clamps just as well too. It wasn't cheap either at about $70 as I recall. I like my Thalia for just a little different sound. To my ear, the Thalia's sound is really unique. Most folks wouldn't care for a change in the guitar's tone, but I like the way it sounds.

Charlie, if you don't have a Thalia, get yourself one as I'd be curious as to if you hear a difference or not? 😊 Or if you've got one, do you notice any difference?

Jim, I've got two of 'em. Haven't used them yet. They were an impulse buy when they were having a sale last year. I've got lots of Thalia stuff that I love, but the capos are untested (yet). :)

I didn't care for mine at all.........until I installed the correct insert. :ROFLMAO: But try it on different guitars too Charlie, it seems to effect tone more on some than on others.
