Hendrix's Strats are just Strats, no lefties. To me the whole backwards theme is silly, I refuse to give in to the silly hype, but I do enjoy a proper lefty, just to look at, as it makes me feel like I've never played guitar before, and could never play guitar...

My calcified brain autopsy results: when submitted to the words" THE Stratocaster", the image that automatically pops up is :
a (And yes, I know!) RH strat held backwards by this funny-looking guy.The head points westwards, everything is upside-down and there might be a cigarette stuck between the strings..I know this is wrong,but all rehabs have failed! I do not care about the hype Guildedagain mentioned, but,still, other stratocasters, RH,LH, reversed, conversed, up-versed, Jimihendrixified or whatever are generic Strats to me. They are great guitars,lots of guitarists play them wayyyyyy better than I can fathom, allright, BUT to me, a Strat means "that thing Hendrix played".He had that visual impact.(And sonic too!) Hendrix was in my brain,stringed things don't seem the same!Dee-da-lee/Dee-da-lee/Dee-da-leeee......(Up-coming heated debates: -Are lefties right?- Dunlop left-footed Fuzzface, worth the extra cost??? -Stood up next to a mountain to nail that Voodoo Chile sound,only got groundhog bites...)Etc etc bla bla bla....
