So did they convert you yet? Or are they bullshitting around with drugs still? With that diagnosis and good insurance they tend to maximize the money they can bleed from your insurance. After 5 days, they'll convert you and get you home pronto. They could zap you back into NSR and get it over with.

Good luck, @dreadnut! My 23-year-old daughter was in the hospital last week for an atrial flutter, and she had an ablation for it. Thank goodness they have a lot of tools for cardiac repairs.

[Veer] I read a book a few years ago about heart surgery. Surgeons were afraid to touch the heart until 100 years ago. In World War I, they saw bullet wounds to the heart and figured that stitches wouldn't make matters worse, and they were delighted to see some patients survive. Progress has been rapid since then, and by the turn of this century an increasing number of procedures were done without opening the chest. My wife, my mom, and Mick Jagger have all had their aortic valves replaced through arterial catheters. So, keep the faith, as the Lord often works through cardiologists and their devices.

Looks like I'll be here for a few days - they're having a hard time draining the fluids from me, even with all the IV diuretics. Still sucking oxygen.
