WW - I'll add that I find it intriguing that you continue to find your way back to the BR. What a relationship. I think it's great.

No, I work my way through them over time.

I realize I'm not really answering the question, but if I had to keep just one it'd be the first Guild I ever bought -- my go to 2006 F-512. I hope that never comes to pass, because I have emotional attachment to several of the guitars in my collection.

If the question is do I only have one guitar and it is a Guild, the answer is no, I have two guitars. If the question is do I only have only one Guild guitar, the answer is yes, I only have a D-20. I also have a mahogany Taylor GS Mini. I play the Guild most of the time, it is my favorite of the two. The GS Mini goes on trips where I just want a guitar to play.

Interestingly enough, I am using .11-.52 gauge on the Br nowadays. As I get older and start having more joint issues, they are a nice compromise of resonant tone and easier playability. The PBs really shine on this old hog dread, 80/20s also nice, just don't last as long. D'Addarios...

No shame in that, schoolie. Guild really did a good thing when they made the D-15, D-25 and D-35. They designed models that may not have bling but all of the rest of the ingredients are there. Well made guitars, made in the US that working class folks / working musicians could afford. I don't know that they planned for the D-25 to have the popularity it did, but man did it ever.

I only own one Guild, my Artist's Award. But were since I bought it late last summer, it's by far the guitar I play the most.
I almost always play it acoustically.

Give it time, there'll probably be more. It's just the way things go around here. :D
I owned a Guild Classic while I was in the Navy 50 years ago. And from time to time, I've borrowed a friend's Guild 12-string.
I always liked their guitars, but they're rather hard to find out here in the Intermountain West.
Especially so with their top-range models. I first saw an AA in an Idaho store in late 1969, and though I never forgot the guitar, it wasn't until last year that I had a good opportunity to purchase one.

But once I have a guitar in mind, I seldom change my mind and forget about it. There are some Guilds I'm looking at now and trying to learn more about, so who knows? I may be posting a NGD here one of these days...

My only Guild is a GAD F-20 ITB. Bought it used and sight unseen. The luthier found the bracing to massive and suggested he could sand it down a bit. A risky intervention that lead to a more open sound (compared it to an unmodified GAD F-20). Also, stability doesn’t seem to be a problem. After some years now the top is still flat.

My 1974 D-35. I own a couple of Guilds and a few Yairi’s but I keep coming back to this one.

I have six guitars in total (in addition to an electric guitar kit that I will build starting in the spring).
Of the six, one is a Guild (GAD jf-30) which I like very much, but it isn't my favorite. I prefer and play more often my Martin D-28, and Gibson j-45.

Interesting. I also have a GAD-F20, and although it's an attractive instrument (and played an important role in helping me rebuild hand strength after physical problems and other issues had kept me from playing for a couple of years), it was and is sonically dead. I'm glad your experiment paid off.

Welcome to LTG!

Hi y'all. I haven't posted in a while. I'm down to one acoustic guitar . . . my cherry red Guild GAD D-125. I've bought and sold a few Guilds, but this one does everything well. It does everything I need, acoustically.

That said . . . When I play out (church mainly) nowadays I almost always use my Yamaha SLG200S silent guitar plugged into a Loudbox Mini. I now experience no feedback issues. It has nice built-in reverb and chorus effects. Plus there is no fiddling around to get decent tone. In fact, it sounds more acoustic than any plugged-in acoustic guitar I've ever owned. Yes . . . I'm speaking heresy . . . I know . . .
