Is the pickguard original?
I love it!
Thanks for the feedback.
I looked for a more traditional Guild pickguard and found it here.

As you can see, they have a few pickguards.

Patience, an ultra-thin putty knife, and a good hair dryer and the ugly GAD pickguard came off easily. Then a little Goof-off to remove the residual glue and it was ready for the new.

So I gotta ask. How does this one compare to the Epiphone OM you sold last year?
Much better than either the Epi or the first GAD30.
This thing rings and the sustain is impressive.
Different strings, different guitar, different ears....
....maybe the pickguard?

Perhaps different strokes...

Joe,

Very nice "custom" GAD30 you have there. Changing-out for an original pickguard is a nice touch. Uber kewl!

Was the hunt more fun than the capture (even accidental)? Equally great?! :D

Toni

P.S. And, it sounds good, too. Congrats!

Joe, that's wicked cool. Swapping the PG was a great idea.

Boy, I don't know... when I'm poking around on eBay I don't place any bids. That's dangerous business! :D Sure paid off here.

It was an accident looking for a place to happen.
And the F112-6 says, "Hey, what about me? I was here first!"
