Re: Accidental Guild unveiled

Yeah, what is it? Is that the original bridge? A GAD with a US Guild pickguard? Looks like an F30. Is this the same guitar with those crazy uncut strings from one of your previous threads?

Re: Accidental Guild unveiled

Whatever it is, I like it! I was going to guess some kind of A50 with a different pickguard, but Hans is always right...

Except when he tells us he was wrong. That one time. About when the D25's went archback.

Do you mean to say that Hans has only been wrong once, and that was when he thought he was wrong, but he wasn't?

Re: Accidental Guild....The rest of the story

Here's the story and I'm sticking to it, trying to cover all bases.
It was a dark and stormy night....no, wait, that's a different story.

So, I was cruising eBay one evening and since I was starting to feel a touch of spring GAS, I thought I'd 'warm up' and see if I remembered how to bid. I saw a Guild that was just getting started and almost as a joke to/on myself, I lowballed it and walked away.
A few days later, I went back for a visit, and there was a message from eBay that I had won the auction and could I please pay the $219.38. My bid was $220.
So now, I have a GAD30 in excellent condition, including the spotless tweed case (good eye Ridge).

Since I never did like the GAD pickguards, I ordered a "genuine Guild pickguard" and while I was waiting for it, I removed the GAD guard and what you see is all there is to see.
I think it looks pretty spiffy and that 1 3/4" nut makes for nice fingerpicking.

And Jerry, it sounds great! I think it sounds better than the first one I had a few years ago.

Ahhhh,

What a DEAL  How'd you do that. Things like that never happen to me. I am the one who goes to the discount rack , takes it to the cashier who politely tells me that one is not on sale. Seriously , my wife is amazed every time
Have fun with your new git, she's a beaut. even if she is from china 8)

So I gotta ask. How does this one compare to the Epiphone OM you sold last year?
