Happy to say I just bought this D-40. I'm really looking forward to playing it. This is replacing my 79' D-40 SB which I really liked, but as I get older, I need something that's lighter and has a slimmer neck profile. I bought a 2012 F-20 last year that I instantly bonded with which made me think a New Hartford D-40 might be the way to go. We'll see.

I also have a Fender Spruce/Maple dred (yes, Fender has made some really good acoustics) and an Ovation 2773LX (it's a real guitar) made in New Hartford during the Fender ownership period that are great guitars. They must have had some quality craftsman working there at the time.
