Once upon a time @Default and @fronobulax were seated next to each other at a LTG lunch. fro ordered an IPA from a local brewery that he had not had before. default, who does not like IPAs, (and fro knew this), ordered a Sam Adams cherry wheat. The beers arrived but the waitstaff switched the order. fro took one sip, realized he had gotten default's beer but it tasted Sooooo Good that it took a minute before fro decided to fess up and fix the swap. The IPA was good but if fro had realized how good the cheery wheat was going to taste he should have had that instead.

I could not drink something that strong. I generally don't like IPA's. My choice is usually Stella, which our bass player, an IPA drinker calls, "peasant beer."

Single malts were more prevalent than beer but it was there.

It's my go to these days. Really prefer Ipswich IPA, but they don't distribute in CT any more. Meant to pick up a case when I was in MA last week and forgot 'til I got home!

Ipswich IPA is the one that got me started on IPAs! Great product.

I understand it's a pretty easy, er, wood, to work. Surprised I even remembered how to spell it correctly.
Probably why it's not more commonly used.
