    Westerly/Hoboken Guild archtop pickguard sizes.

I've started to take the important measurements of pickguards I get in stock since they vary so much. Please add to this post with pkgds you have with the year/model. Let's start a database.

Due to the shop being so busy I have to stop selling Guild parts for a while. Thanks for all the references in the past!

'76 G37 still has factory buffing compound on the back. b

Barely played G37 in the shop for a set up. Super clean. I started rubbing off the compound thinking it was paint and stopped when I realized it was factory compound left after all these years. Kinda cool.

    "Made in Germany" harp tailpiece.

When did Guild switch from the German made cast tailpieces which seem more substantial to the cheaper cast ones?

    "Raw wood" Aviator questions.

Just picked this up with a batch of parts I received. It's drilled for a Muller #10. Was there a model Guild made with this layout? I can't seem to find this version online. Also, what color would you paint it?

    Shorted '72 HB1 repair.

This '72 HB1 had a short so I planned on sending it out to Tom Brantley. (He's done all my rewinds for over 20 years.) But I decided to take a chance and take it apart and got lucky to find a pinched signal wire. The round slugs, in a square hole, are interesting as I recall square ones in the past.

    Mueller #10 bridge restoration

Found this in a box of old parts I just bought. It had double roller saddles installed and some were super glued! To prevent slippage I guess. So I soaked in solvent, cleaned, lubed and oiled. It functions again. I needed the spare saddles for another bridge so it worked out well.
