    Updates

No, this is just a really old thread. BUT.......the recent server migration by the host unlocked some new gremlins which required some additional effort to correct. The last piece was to happen around 4pm EST today. I haven't heard any bad news from the host, & it wasn't supposed to take that...

    Is this a black DE-400?

Looks that way. Here's a link to an archived thread that talks about it.

    So...what year is my Starfire?

I rescued a '64 that could be a slightly darker twin to yours. Don't recall the serial number off the top of my head. Those all mahogany models really have a nice resonance to them don't they?

Speaking of selling gear to buy a boat

Yeah, I hear the hole to throw money in... too much work for such a short season... comments all the time. For me, having grown up on & around the Great Lakes & boats of every size & shape, it's more of a therapeutic escape. I've experienced more peace & renewal while working my butt off on a...

You snagged that GC one? We looked hard at it for my oldest. Curious how well the repair was done.

Speaking of selling gear to buy a boat

Something for the Great Lakes with a decent cabin for up to 4 people. I had a 24' for years & spent most weekends slipped in South Haven, MI. Salmon fishing is another prerequisite. Just sold a 26' that was to the point of needing more sweat equity than I (or my boys) was willing to invest...

    Whoa! What is that?

I started down that same hole, but ended up in the Booker T & the MG's wing. Gotta love where youtube can take you sometimes.

Speaking of selling gear to buy a boat

Some Guild content. I started picking through my collection of little used gear & decided to start trying to move some of it to help finance my summer passion. Here are my local craigslist ads. Not listed but contemplating: My well worn JF-30, OR a JF-55 that I just finished a neck reset...

    1966 f 20 nt

I have an S-90 with a similar case. Chipboard, yellow lining, no badging.

    Whoa! What is that?

Yeah, that would be something! Unfortunately, my Guilds of any real value are ones that I really don't want to part with.........yet. :blushed: Bling-O-Plenty on that one though.

    68 M85 II Project

Yeah, but having had to deal ebay's buyer protection policies when I did the music store thing, the risk isn't what it once was. That & his feedback profile is, at least, respectable.

    68 M85 II Project

Getting ready to pull the plug on the listing. Family stuff happening this weekend so I'll pull it down on Monday if there's no other interest. After the discussion in this thread, my interest in doing the project myself has grown again so I started looking at parts I don't already have...

    Guild Pins

No worries Markus. Just dropped it in the mail today. Yes on a customs form, but THIS PO charged less than $2 to Germany. Go figure.

    Silica Gel (?)

I use charcoal briquettes in the boat when it's covered. Very efficient & keeps mold/mildew at bay.

    Guild Pins

I'll let you know Markus. Funny that the price of shipping these little things seems to be subjective, depending on which PO I drop them at. One nearest my house charges $3.50 in the states, while the one the next town over only charges $1. Just sent one to Canada yesterday & they made me fill...
