    WTB Pre 1970 F-47

I'm interested in finding a nice early example of an F-47. Only seeking a sixties model. No over spray or refin. Minor pro repairs fine. If in need of a neck set, I'll consider it, but would prefer to find one not in need or already well done. I know these are pretty rare, but I figured...

    F-47 Nut Width

I'd like to find me a nice vintage F-47, but I need to get an answer from the experts here. Did they ever make any of these with 1 3/4" nut width? That's really important to me as I get older. The 1 11/16" width is just not comfortable for me anymore. So before I begin a search, I want to...

    FS 1986 Guild F-44 SOLD

Guitar has sold (to a member, I'm happy to report). I'll let him identify himself if he so desires.

    FS 1986 Guild F-44 SOLD

I've decided to sell my F-44. Tough decision, but the 1 11/16" nut is just tougher for me as all my other guitars are 1 3/4" or wider. I want to offer it here to all the Guild enthusiasts before going to Reverb. Here are a lot of pics...

    1986 Guild F-44

The old bridge plate has been removed and new one made. The pics tell the story of just how misplaced the original bridge was. Plus, the new one is about half as thick as the original. I'm really getting anxious to play her. Work should be done soon.

    1986 Guild F-44

Thanks for your perspective. It's accurate and appreciated. I have already considered your points in making this decision, and I realize there is an element of risk when changing a component as fundamental as the bridge plate. Bridge plates that are worn out get changed all the time, but not...

    1986 Guild F-44

Still enjoying the F-44. So much so, I've decided to do some needed work and keep this one in fold. Getting a neck set, but the other big item that needs attention is the bridge plate. I'm curious if any of the Guild enthusiasts on this board have ever seen this. I've attached two pics of...

    1986 Guild F-44

I have some pretty amazing guitars hanging around the house these days, but I find myself playing the F-44 as much as any of them. My wife is our vocalist, and I back her up a lot. She comments on the F-44 every time I use it. It just has the smoothest, most even sound that is incredibly well...

    1965 F-20 - What is a fair price?

Great little guitars. I've had several over the years, and I've always liked them. But, that 1 5/8" nut just won't work for me. Way too narrow. I think it's an excellent dealer price especially considering the very nice condition.

    1986 Guild F-44

Well, what do yo think? My unprofessional solution is not wholly disagreeable to me, but it should still be done professionally at some point. Ian up at Lark Street Music can do it, but he's swamped for the next three months, so these will do until then. They are 5/16" plugs painted amber and...

    1986 Guild F-44

Yes, I think that's exactly what I'll do. It really is not a problem in any way. No structural issues here.

    1986 Guild F-44

Here are some pics. She had a horrid, old pick up system that I took out today. At least the three drilled holes are cleanly done and rather symmetrical. Guess I got myself a modified sound port! Seriously, I'm not sure what to do with this. I may just leave it as is. Plugging it has to...

    1986 Guild F-44

Wow, the F-44 arrived today, and I am simply blown away. Some of you may know that I am a retired dealer of fine used and vintage acoustics for 25 years. I have had many, many fine guitars come through my hands. This is not only, hands down, the best Guild I've ever owned, it's one of the...

    1986 Guild F-44

It's the one some of you saw on Reverb. Here's the link with some pretty good pics: https://reverb.com/item/37905473-1986-guild-f-44?show_sold=true. Paid $2K shipped/insured. Don't know if that's a good deal or not as I couldn't find any pricing or recent sales to go by. I'd love to know...

    1986 Guild F-44

I just picked up a 1986 Guild F-44. I'm having trouble finding information on it. I have Hans' book, but I see no mention of this model which I find strange. Gruhn's book has it listed and indicates it was later designated GF-60M in 1987. It's not in the Vintage Guitar Price Guide. I...

    1953 Guild M-30

Hi Hans, Thanks for clearing up this little anomaly with Guild serial numbers. The serial number on this M-30 is 1468 with a ghost label. I've been watching the guitar over on UMGF. I was hoping you might enter the discussion at some point. One thing is still unclear to me: the serial...
