    G&L ASAT

I like your ASAT, I picked up this one several years ago. A previous owner had switched the HB pickups for some Harmonic Design Z90s.

Hans' Guild Guitar Book...this pic still cracks me up...

That's what buying a paperback rather than the hardbound does.

    Pickup for a Guild M-120 - Blues

I like the K&K Pure Western or Pure Western Mini. It's easy to install if you are at all handy and if you can get your hand in the soundhole. It is powerful enough that you do not need a preamp (but it will sound so much better with one) and you don't have to screw with the saddle to install it...

UPS denies claim - less than 2” padding

The real question is will they stand up to having a truck or a fork lift run over them. All courtesy of FedEX.

    Guild's lighter-weight archtops?

For lighter, you might try a Newark Street X175 which should be a little lighter. For lighter and smaller, try the NS Starfire III or Aristocrat. Both are featherweights but are highly recommended.

A potentially stupid/interesting idea for Guild...a Bass XII

Guild Newark Starfire IV vs V

I have a Westerly Starfire V and, honestly, my only complaint with it was the Fender-designed HB-1s. I also have some Gretsches that have the master volume. In terms of tone and playability, I doubt that you will find much difference. I looked for a V because I wanted a Guildsby. I then replaced...

    Footprint of Franz

Is the footprint of the Franz dogear the same as a P90 dogear (ignoring the slight difference in the shape of the "ear")? Would a Franz dogear cover all the screw holes from the LB-1s?
