Is the footprint of the Franz dogear the same as a P90 dogear (ignoring the slight difference in the shape of the "ear")?

Would a Franz dogear cover all the screw holes from the LB-1s?

the cover is more or less the footprint as a P90, yes. The "ear" screws are in the exact same spot, even. Quite a bit taller though.

I think it would cover up a mini-humbucker's tracks, but I don't have any humbucker guitars so I'm not sure.

I have a '60 T-100 that had a problematic Franz.
(turned out to be loose magnets doing a maddening vibration dance....the last place I looked!)

While getting that sorted out, I had a "would this fit somehow?" moment and installed a low wind P-90 as a placeholder.
As Walter mentioned above, the dog ear cover screw holes and the mount tabs lined up perfectly with the Franz cover holes. The body of the pickup fit the cavity well. So no modifications at all....which was important to me.

I don't have anything with a LB-1 or humbucker.....so can't help with info about coverage.

By the way....in reference to the thread title "Footprint of Franz"....and somewhat to the song "Footprints in the Snow".....

My local Sasquatch occasional neighbor goes by the name "Franz".
Winter brings him in closer.....
