I have this STUDER 980 mixing console in our living room - I worked 5 days and cut it shorter - now it is only 2 meters wide - about 6'8"

About everybody who saw it asked - what does your wife think about it? - and they hardly believe when I reply - She aked if that would be a good place for it. . . . 😂

Moral of the story - be good to others - they might be good to you, too 😍

No good pics of the desk - but The Kid is playing wit small desk, that's laying on the STUDER desk.

I'd like to be your kid. Are you adopting?

I'm potty trained.

Nice!! (Would love to see a proper pic of that Studer!) Is that a Behringer X on top? Last I saw, they make that mixer in a tablet form! ( I barely keep up on studio/PA gear anymore) Nowadays, I see FOH guys walking around the venue to check the sound....w/ a remote tablet in hand that can control the entire board. A much different world from when I was doing live sound (80's-90's)

Hello

Here are two quick shots of the Studer channel section - good overall pic has to wait. And the small desk on top was Behringer X32 from the very first batch. Later I sold it - now I have two 3U rack versions - and I use them only via iPad or Android tablet. With Apple Airport Extreme I can control the system from 50 meters distance. Normally I'm max 20 meters from stage. A super benefit of tablet remote is when you're adjusting stage monitoring. No more running back and forth between microphone and stage mixer, when working alone.

Dodging drunks and other unwanted persons in audience is so easy. Plus walking around the room to make sure all is fine for most or everybody. And no more snake !!!

Thanks for that. That is a sweet Studer! I've worked w/ many of their tape machines (from 1/2" to 2"), but never their mixers. The last really nice board I touched was my friend's API Legacy which came from Bearsville Studios and had numerous famous records recorded on. It now lives 15-20 min from me at Severn Studios in Annapolis. https://www.severnsoundstudio.com/

So vandalism becomes art in this troubled time?? huh..... :p:p
Thinking a little more about it I was going to edit my post before anyone replied but you beat me to it. I enjoy a good practical joke and I abhor graffiti. This prank is going to cost that small community a chunk of change to repair their water tower. I hope the prankster is caught and made to pay restitution.

I don’t know if you were talking about the mural but it’s not graffiti. The town which was his home town added it.

The story is about a prankster having shot the waterpower, not graffiti. I referred to graffiti as an example of vandalism.

"I shot a man in Kingsland, just to watch him pee!"
The City of Brussels will probably sub-poney for "Deleterious Manekenpissing" ,a 45th degree felony in Belgium.
(A sub-poney is a small tiny horse,a bit dinky to strap a big saddle or blanket on, anyway)
