Nice picture of Son Seals.

He was one of our endorsers, although I never had any contact with him. Before he had that Starfire, he was playing a cheap Japanese hollowbody. Seals was a diabetic who eventually lost a leg to the disease and eventually, it killed him. His wife shot him in the face in 1997 for some reason, and he lost almost all his possessions in a fire. He was survived by 14 children!

I remember when Stewart was using that guitar. It was brought to my attention when I worked at Guild. I don't think there was ever any talk of signing him to an endorsement deal. I do remember Neil Lilien blowing them off with some rude comment. He was a jazz fan, and regularly dismissed rock players.
I once saw a video of Stewart playing Missionary Man (on MTV?) on an acoustic using his drinking glass as a slide while Annie sang. Very cool.

Holy crap! That's a lot of fodder for some authentic blues.

Great! Never saw those pictures and that he was using a S-300! @GAD @DrumBob

Dave Stuart had and again is reunited with his old F-412:

There are also several videos on YouTube where Dave is shown with the S-300 and at least one where bass player Eddie Chin is playing a B-301. Always wonder what happened to Dave's S-300, as I've never seen a picture or video of him with it after The Tourists

@nuuksa, what is the name of the Finnish instrument being bowed behind Joe...

Can you provide some more...uh..."natural" uses for this, perhaps under another thread?

Bill: Allow me to quickly answer. It's not really Finnish but Swedish...The musician is from Sweden, Mats Wester. The instrument he plays is the "Nyckelharpa", the national instrument of Sweden.
