Maybe I'm lazy or not very creative or don't readily define myself with an avatar or just never gave it much thought or just didn't care about it.

I tend to think it's more of the latter possibilities.
I can tell you my email address is not very creative. And if you omit one letter you will accidentally send an email to my younger brother. Additionally if you change one letter in a specific way you will accidentally email my son.

So the old saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" definitely applies here!
Just not sure of the basis for the similarity.👥😜

Lol, pretty sure that one was meant to say maternity ;]]]

No, that is not me. It's a very famous photograph from the 50's, someone here might even know who it is? I've liked that picture since I was a kid.

Not to veer into a blooper thread, I found this yesterday cruising CL ;]

Holy cr*p!!!!! I've watched the Mont Ventoux climb and descent during Le Tour de France several times and it never fails to make my quadriceps feel like seizing up in a major cramp.

This year's 11th stage climbs it. Twice.

You watched it live in France or on TV?you like cycling ? Great! Never saw the climb live in France always on tv, but did the climb myself three times now..and two times with a lot of cramps . The last time without . .ahum my speed is not impressive...🚴🏻‍♂️🤔but it’s the effort not the speed (my opinion)

Watched it many times on TV, and have the Tour t-shirt and L'Equipe from one of Lance's wins when my daughter happened to be in Paris at the finish. Have a road bike, mountain bike, fixie, and another road bike on my trainer in the attic. My mileage isn't what it once was, but I still ride and do a couple of charity rides every year.

Patrick O'Grady is my hero:

Yes! I used to race (my last race was a time trial in 2006). I still follow the big races in Europe, but have no desire to compete anymore. Now it's just for fun. That's so cool that you climbed Ventoux three times!! My Merckx is okay for climbing, but it would need a compact crank for any serious hills or mountains. I have a Peugeot that I got in the Netherlands and it has flat land gearing so I don't use it very much except when I want to go "retro". :)

I wonder how many people changed their avatar since reading this post. I noticed I had pretty much the same one since I joined unless I had one of my D-25. Details get fuzzy

Okay I decided to change my avatar based on this fun thread. So sometimes when jumping horses things don't always go as planned. Please note that this horse was not the source of the injury, but he was curious about the wooden (remember them?) sticks under my arms!! For a while anyway. And look, I had HAIR!! LMAO!! 💈

Is your pup a King Charles? Our vet has one. She's his hunting dog, and a real sweetheart. Do you have Sammy and Ollie? Sammy is beautiful. I see no cosmetic fault at all. It's a good thing dogs don't "appraise" humans the way humans do dogs, and most other animals, particularly the ones being considered for the show ring.

Sammy makes a delightful avatar.

Yes he does, and an adorable greeter!

The "fault" is that little white spot under his right...lip?..I'm glad he was a "reject". We got him and Ollie for well under 1/4 of the price of one that would not be classified a runt or not show worthy...bwahahaha.

We have another female King Charles that was discarded from a puppy mill after she had 5 litters in short order. Sadie, (I call her skittles because if you moved faster than a sloth for the first few years she would try so hard to get away her feet would slide in place on the floor...she was skittish). Now she is the matron to these two knuckleheads. That's her on the left, Ollie on the right...Impossible to get a clear picture of them...They spend a good part of their waking hours cleaning Sadie's ears!

That’s impressive! I’m happy just being able to climb the stairs in my house on a daily basis.
