The pup is adorable.

Nice butter churn, too.

By the way, I miss Cougar's cougar. And now I don't recognize you anymore. It's like you got an extreme makeover or something.

Thanks. I never really liked small dogs until my wife started with the rescues. This guy and his brother were the last two of a litter from a breeder the rescue shelter owner knew. This is Sammy...he has what the breeder said is a cosmetic fault...like a soul patch...so he is not "show worthy". His brother Ollie is the runt. Just lovely dispositions. Funny too.

The churn is a Burger from Rochester, NY. Probably 1855. One of my youngest. I have some ovoids dating to 1820...wow 200 years old and still intact.

I noticed that, too, and I figured I'd join in. Plus, the snow is gone, so the pic of the cougar in the snow is... so last season. So here's the pic of me in New Orleans that I used for my album cover -- thought I'd throw that out there....
Cougar got another cougar! Yippee!

I have a small churn that was given to me, pretty sure it's a reproduction, but it's just crock and lid, no paddle.

Is your pup a King Charles? Our vet has one. She's his hunting dog, and a real sweetheart. Do you have Sammy and Ollie? Sammy is beautiful. I see no cosmetic fault at all. It's a good thing dogs don't "appraise" humans the way humans do dogs, and most other animals, particularly the ones being considered for the show ring.

Sammy makes a delightful avatar.

I started reading Moomin books at ripe age of 5 - from very beginning Nuuskamuikkunen was my favorite character - and about at 17 some of my friends started to call me that, because I played harmonica and went travelling whenever possible.

Finally in winter 1974-75 i went to see Tove Jansson - the creator of Moomins - and she generously authorized me using that name - she even drew me the picture that is now my avatar - the original is still here.
