Three Dog Night. I looked up the meaning behind the name of the band and read that in Australia (?) when it's cold you might have to sleep with a dog to stay warm. When it's really cold, that's a three dog night.

I named my chainsaw Skittles. I hope Sadie takes no offense.

Beautiful pups. After the vet's dog came with him on an after hours emergency call, I wanted a King Charles. His was such a sweetie, and so well behaved!

I still remember my 3rd grade teacher explaining the phrase to us! No recollection of why it came up though. One of those weird random memories from years ago, that just somehow stuck.

Yes! I used to race (my last race was a time trial in 2006). I still follow the big races in Europe, but have no desire to compete anymore. Now it's just for fun. That's so cool that you climbed Ventoux three times!! My Merckx is okay for climbing, but it would need a compact crank for any serious hills or mountains. I have a Peugeot that I got in the Netherlands and it has flat land gearing so I don't use it very much except when I want to go "retro".

great, good to hear! I never raced (chapeau and respect!) nice bikes ! i have a summerhouse in the Eifel , there I have a Ridley with compact 50-34 and on the rear 12-34! Keep cycling! It clears the mind! (at least mine).

Your third grade teacher probably liked "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)" which is the first of the band's hits that comes to my mind.

The always accurate Wikipedia repeats the name origin story but also raises a question about who actually suggested it as a band name.
