Yes… looks original with the felt washer!

Looks like Crazy Ed's guitar found a home. Whatever the wiring configuration is, leave it alone.

Out of phase middle tone is actually quite desirable, and yes, backing off one p'up makes it sound more "normal", the best of both worlds.

ok, I try.....

first of all, they are both great guitars
the necks are actually both the same and very comfortable to play

the 1959 is a little louder acoustically and the 1966 is a little heavier probably because of the bigsby, which by the way works great

the sound on the amplifier is also as expected, the 1959 with the Franz pickups is a bit louder and more bass and overall more powerful.

the mickey mouse pickups are livelier, just like single coils
I disconnected the resistor on the mickey mouse pickups.....

I can't say which one sounds better, they sound quite different but both sound great

Yes. I’ve had a few people play mine and they all produced that comment.

Mines a combo of your two. The Franz pups with the Guildsby (not original) but they do sit well on these models.
