Hello,

Today I received a 1958 or 1959 T-100D in fantastic condition

As far as I can tell, everything is original, including the very rare pots ?

I'm not quite sure if the case is original, but it looks great
even the hangtag is still there

The guitar plays great and sounds fantastic

now i have a question about the circuit.....can it be that it is connected in such a way that the pickups are out of phase in the middle position? At least that's how it sounds, but if I turn one of the two volume pots back a little bit, it sounds "normal"

I took a few pictures to make you a little jealous :p

Gorgeous, Ben!
Had one that looked just like it. I love those clear knobs so much. Congrats!

Beautiful guitar(s)! Congrats, it's super clean looking!

I have a '59 CE100D that seems to have been wired the same way - with both pickups on and the same volume they are out of phase but turning one down slightly eliminates the worst of the problem and leaves a cool T-bone Walker-type sound. I'm still debating whether to change it or make use of the sound.

Hi,

Thanks for the info about your CE100D

I thought to myself that this circuit is original
I'm also considering whether I should change it or leave everything original

Beautiful and congratulations!!! I have a similar 1960, without the same case candy, (but with an unused Bobby Lee strap in the case!) and find a similar out of phase on the middle position - I like having that tone and find it quite useful really! Mine has the slightly later clear knobs with numbers, and a very good but slightly more ‘vinyl’ looking case. Wonderful guitars your pair!!!
