What we really need are more good, reliable, honest amp techs. They are a dying breed.
I've read this before. At least one tube seller claims that both RCA 6C10 compactrons are rebranded Westinghouse and GEs, and that some GEs are rebranded Westinghouse tubes. Now I need to dig into my stash to compare. They really are great amps. I have a strong suspicion that all 6C10 tubes were made by GE regardless of marking.
Yep. I stocked up early. I've got a few sets of the small bottle Phillips 6L6GC when they were military surplus and cheap.I knew it would come to this.
All 7591 power tubes were made by Sylvania and rebranded for other companies, so not unusual.I've read this before. I just compared the GEs to the 6C10s and the guts are close to identical. All 7591 power tubes were made by Sylvania and rebranded for other companies, so not unusual.
There should be etched dots as well.I just compared the GEs to the 6C10s and the guts are close to identical.
Great minds think alike.I was on the 6V6 bandwagon long before small amps became big,
