Several years ago I spent $50 on a tuner, a clip-on Onboard Research Intellitouch. Best one at the time. Still kinda nice, hardshell case, red backlighting, don't have to plug it in or be in isolation to use a mic input.
Recently bought a Snark for $15, and it works better. More sensitive, picks up the vibrations better without having to re-position it, and seems to be calibrated a little tighter. Not surprising, as technology has likely improved since I bought the Intellitouch.
I know there are a lot of them out there now, but the little blue Snark seems to be the best for my purposes.
