My parents certainly thought it was too mature for my ten year old self in 1972.I remember when channels had a lineup and they hoped you stuck with them. I was 9 in 1972. I didn’t get to control the TV. I think 9 was bedtime, so Love American Style was after hours.
"The Odd Couple" certainly wasn't. I agree about some of the others though. What dreck!
I was 24 and my two younger sisters were 19 and 14, when these programs were being televised, and we watched none of them, not because they were too "mature" or risque, but just because they were so mindless and inane.

And the MGB actually appears to be running!Yea! And a MGB Roadster with added roof driving by and Chevy Chevelle parked out front. Those were the days!

We should start a Lord Lucas thread...LOL! Fortunately it wasn't raining.
I had two friends with MGB's and they always parked them on a hill so that they could coast them and "pop the clutch" to get them running. Seemed they had most trouble on rainy days!
Reality TV today is even more inane and mindless I think. I'm proud to say that I've never watched any of it, except a few episodes of "The Osbornes". And that's only because Ozzy was so (unintentionally) funny."mindless and inane" -- just like today
Ah yes. Lucas, the inventor of darkness! We should start a Lord Lucas thread...
