Hey Bill,

I'm just over the water from you and I've got a Hoboken F30 arriving sometime soonish which you are welcome to a play of if you're ever over this way. In Greymouth Coastie has a really sweet Hoboken F20. Might be a nice road trip for you !!

Cheers, Ian.

Hi Ian

Thanks for that. If I'm ever crossing the ditch and heading South, I'll be sure to let you know. Cheers!!

Another non Guild suggestion for Vintage 52 would be the Martin 000, 00 or OM models. Plenty of those to try in Wellington !!

Cheers, Ian

Too true Ian....plenty up here.

And a big thanks to all you gentlefolk with your suggestions, recommendations and conversations!

Awesome!!

Certainly given me something to think about.

Ian...your F-30 (Hoboken) is quite happy in my den. I should be able to send it your way early next week. I just measured the nut and it is 1 5/8...funny that's the same as the nut on my M-20 (just measured it with the same ruler to make sure) but the M-20 seems a lot narrower. I'm having trouble getting used to the M-20 but had no problem playing the F-30 all the times I played it at Randy's. If the nut is too narrow for you let's figure that out before I send it your way.

Hi Joan,

BUGGER !! I was sort of thinking it was 1 11/16, as per the specs. That might be a killer for me 'specially as I've got a finger injury that doesn't seem to be going away and it makes it difficult to play the 1 11/16th's I have. ( Anyone have any idea how frustrating it is to have a Guild, Martin, Ovation and Breedlove parked up and not playing, and be stuck playing an old nylon strung classical with a 2 inch nut ?????). Figure to send it on anyway, if it doesnt suit I'm sure I can work out something with Bill or Gary.... ( Guys, guys where are you off to....)

Cheers, Ian
