Let's just all go back to just singing, clapping & footstomping - everything else is just cheating. :)
   Thanks Zelja!
So when pounding on a log, can I use an old bone? My hand start to bleed after awhile.

Any comparisons between competitive sports and art are doomed from the start. It's like comparing apples and, uh... spaghetti.

Ravel's Bolero and Pachelbel's Canon in D don't do it for you, huh?

My wife and I were invited to dinner by my sister-in-laws husbands dad. We got there and he was in the living room listening to Pachelbel's Canon. You're right Frono, not my favorite piece of music, but I don't mind hearing it every so often. So we get a tour of the house, get a drink, walk outside, etc, and every time we come back to the living room, Pachelbel's Canon is playing. At first I thought, "wow, I didn't realize this was such a long composition". Eventually we sat down in the living room and at last the song ended. I breathed a sigh of relief, only to hear the song start again from the beginning.

My sister-in-laws husbands dad had it LOOPED. It played the entire evening. By the time we left I was so on-edge it was all I could do just to put on the car radio and hear ANYTHING ELSE.

Maybe that's why I hate looping.

wow, what a great thread.. thanks to y'all... I think, I will likely use the loop for maybe 50% of the songs... In realitly it will be unlikely that anyone in the cocktail hour is going to care if a loop is being used... And it will also be unlikely that anyone will realize that one is being used at all...

Are you sure it was looped? In his youth one of my son's favorite CDs was "Pachelbel's Greatest Hit" and it was 60 minutes of just what you might guess.

Krysh,

I love your playing. You're really solid, everything sounds clean and precise.
