Playing my '73 S-100 carved (oak leaves & acorns) through my amazing battery powered Yamaha THR-10 amp.

I can plug in an MP-3 player loaded with jam tracks to this amp and pretend to be a lead guitarist to my hearts content

Does anyone else out there, have some Autumn color pics they would like to share?

Cheers

Terry

Thanks BP. I have to thank thunderface for giving me the vision for the pic. I just needed to wait for a window of opportunity and more importantly, convince the Mrs. to go out and take the photo.

No trout in my lake, but there is many other species.

Here's a shot of the bay from the other direction.

Well GOLLY, Terry!! Those are some BEAUTIFUL photos!! As a west coast boy I'm not used to those kinds of colors. And now living in Las Vegas, Nevada.... I see nothing remotely like that. Thanks for sharing these pictures with us. The colors of Autumn......

Wow.... just makes you wanna be there and do nothing. Awesome.
I'll have to second that emotion. Just a wonderful place, Terry.
Though not as dramatic but in answer to your call for autumn color, allow me to send a little from Washington state.

It's certainly that time of year and another bumper crop is in order, mostly free and there for a different kind of picking!

Enjoy everything that's enjoyable,
Joe

Yes, I'll admit, I do my fair share of that. Unfortunately, when all those leaves come down, they have to be removed.

Fall is without question, my favorite time of the year up here. Sadly, that will coming to an abrupt halt very soon.

Here's another view from my yard looking southwest.

Those photos look better than I envisioned. Great shots, especially the one with you and your Carved on the dock.

My first glimpse of these photos was on my cellphone, and I thought they were great, but now seeing them in their full glory on a computer, they are spectacular.

Wow!! What a beautiful spot to sit and play yer guitar. I've read some nice reviews about that amp, too.

We're still waiting for the 90 degree days to end down here...

That amp is just what they all say it is. You really do get that tube amp sound from it even at lower volumes and coupled with that tone monster S-100, it's totally the "WOW" factor for me.

Yep,that's where I ordered mine from.

Please let me know your opinion after you've checked it out. I think you'll be amazed at what you can get out of that little box.

8) Terry.....That is a slice of guitar heaven! Beautiful photo, and I can only imagine the great sounds that you and that lovely Guild ( cool amp too!) are making and sending across that lake. Birds and fish and trees must be happy too.
What a beautiful rampside world to play your guitar.
That photo went great with my morning coffee.
Inspiring. Thanks for that one.

8) "Sitting in the morning sun, I'l be sitting when the evening comes."
Just perfect.
Funny this song has come up though. I am 'new' to bar chords, but working hard to get a grip on them.
"Dock of the Bay" is one I have been useing as a tutorial. It all can be played in the E major shape barchord. Most you folks already know this and more....but for those who've shyed away from bar chords, Its a good one to start on.
Starting the song in C ( 8th fret) to E, F ( 1st) o D (10th) Do this twice,
Then, its C-A-C-A, C-D-C. ( D is at 10th fret,A is at 5th)
This has me sliding up and down the neck! My guitar doesnt know whats happening here.
I think its a great bar chord song for us beginners.
It's all new to me, and it's fun. Had to share that one here.
Ok, I gotta go back to practice. ........."waisting time" :D

Hey John, I don't now if you're a stickler about these things but the Otis Redding recorded version starts with a G on the third.

Here's one of my infamous charts;

Sittinonthedockofthebay.jpg

Great to hear that you're delving into barre chords! Except for the E (played on the 7th) and the D (played on the 5th), you're still just sliding the "E" form barre chord up and down the neck.

Rock on!
