I live near Toulouse
Cool! Love the South West (I lived in Muret just outside Toulouse for a couple years)... Ah.... the cassoulet de Castelnaudary, les confits de canard et les salades de gesiers... ca manque ici!

I also lived in Arcachon, and Cap d'Agde, but I am originally from Le Mans.

What I loved about the Toulouse location was being about an hour away from both the ski slopes in the winter, and the beaches in the summer.

A bientot!

Cap D'agde, wow, my late inlaws lived there Bluespicky. Small world.
Wow! Small world is right...
So does this mean you were married to a French woman at some point Walter?

Sort of like where I live, now! Ski in the morning, have lunch, and sail in the afternoon....tough place to live!

Exactly Joe... only with a few more degrees. And not to mention the white water kayaking; you do live in a lovely place I reckon.

No, we're actually only getting married in April, and she's Belgian, and so were her folks - they just lived in France. They were big Franc-O-philes, just like their daughter.

Gotcha.
Well, looking back anyway, we were all peacefully living in the same country (Gaul) before the Romans remapped the world right?
BTW, just a curious question: Is there any kind of immigration requirements for Belgians wanting to live in France and vice versa? Never thought to ask my niece's husband whom is from Belgium also...

Jean Michel: You have officially been baptised to "Veerism" by yours truly, Veering Grand Master, I have a doctorate in veerology, and a little over 3 years of experience here at LTG.
I know I could consider charging, but my services are free.

I'm honoured, thanks! :)

As far as French / Belgian immigration is concerned, I'm not a specialist, but I know at least 2 Belgian people that work (or used to work) for the firm I'm also working for in Toulouse.
I also believe that our rock'n roll national icon  Johnny Hallyday (who used to play Guild guitars, BTW) tried to get the Belgian nationality a few years ago... but in the end he moved to Swiss!

Other services offered include "greeting" other people's wives at gas stations, overnight accommodation for other people's guitars and an outstanding collection of Guild "demo" videos on YouTube. It is an honor to be veered by such a person. (Even more of an honor to share the stage but that is even more of a veer...)

Well, I'm not exactly an immigration expert, but I thought that within the EU, if you're a citizen of the EU, you can pretty much live where you want, no? Probably not as simple as that, and a paperwork nightmare...? Really not sure about this at all.

You're right, Walter! An EU citizen can travel and work within the UE without any "paperwork nightmare".
