Hi!

This is not my first post to the forum (but not far, though), but I think I have to tell a bit about myself again in this topic as I think my first post was not really at the right place to do this.

I live in France and I am the happy owner (and sadly very bad player  ) of 3 cherry red Starfire's.
BTW, I bought 2 of them from a well respected forum member (hi Mike!). ;-)

Here they come :

From left to right:
- 61' Starfire III
- 66' Starfire V
- 66' Starfire XII

Cheers!

Ooooh! So jealous!

Is it my imagination, or a trick of the lens, but does the Starfire III have a long scale length (25.5), while the others have the short scale (24.75)? It looks so much bigger than the others.

Bienvenue!

Merci beaucoup! :)

The SF-iii is only closer to the lens, I'm very far from being a professional photographer. ;-)

Hi Jean-Michel, Very nice trio indeed. And two of them look so familiar. :) Since we are adding trios of starfires to this wonderful thread, I have three more here. On left a '63 SFIII, In the middle a 67 SFV with brown designation and on the right a '74 blond SF6. Keep posting my friend. It will be good to see and hear from you more. MB

Yes, exactly the same. 1963 Guild starfire III with Dearmonds. What a killer guitar too.

Bonjour Pascal !

I go on in English as most people here don't speak French (even if I don't speak english fluently). :?
I live near Toulouse, what about you?
edit: I've just noticed that you live in Florida. It's funny, as both my 6 string starfires were sent from Florida!

I wish I could find some nice guitars in Carrefour supermarkets, or even in local guitar shops, but it's far easier to find Squier or Ibanez new guitars than vintage Guilds around here!
