Maybe even consider a separate forum for humorous banter versus serious discussions/dissertations.:witless::triumphant:
You, sir, are dangerously close to crossing the line of heresy and risking all the sanctions pertaining thereto, even to involuntary clipping of the toenails.
Or may the Al Gore Rhythm band for mathematicians? :triumphant:
Joe
That's better.

If you start dividing content into specialty threads, the forum becomes fractured... I don't see strings as any more important than many other topics... I would, however, like to see an upgrade on the Search function within LTG (so, for example, I can find string threads easily). On AGF, at the bottom of the page, they have integrated a Google Search line that searches only the forum using Google's algorithms, a far more powerful and flexible engine than the embedded AGF search function.

Something to keep in mind....yoko started this thread as a joke, so we don't need to consider this as serious bidness.
We need to chuckle and move along.

ENOUGH DEBATE....the floor is CLOSED. Let's take this to a vote. The moderators, being the patriotic Americans that they are, and holding close to their hearts the Constitution of this great land, I'm SURE will adhere and follow the will of the people. Please cast your vote and tally after you vote.

The questions: Should LTG have a dedicated Strings section.

Yea.

Yea 1 Nay 0

but seriously...Frono...why not have a STRING DISCUSSION section under Gear??

I read Yoko's intent differently although I am known to be a humorless person who reads the wrong emotions into text only messages.

The board does have a Poll feature and if you really want to do this, consider starting a new thread with a poll or editing the first post to include a poll, if you can do that.

No posts or threads ever in the "Guild Amp Reviews" section. Replace it with a "String Review" section...

Nope. I'm not that open-minded. I use JP'S exclusively. However, I have to agree......."No posts or threads ever in the "Guild Amp Reviews" section. Replace it with a "String Review" section..."

It is very difficult to describe the tone of an amp. You kind of just have to hear it. Most or all of my guild amps need new or re-coned speakers. I just havnt got to it. I tried recording myself playing the maverick a couple times, as well as my Guild bass thru an orange bass amp- however have found it is much more difficult to get a decent recording that way than recording a performer on a stage at a gig. When I turn anything up towards the volumes I am trying to demonstrate, everything in my entire apartment just rattles. They are very loud, I can at least say that.
