That's IT, Ralf!! I have to get one of those! Yoko, it's only me so far and with my mediocre flat-pick and strum style..... I really feel quite a few of the subtle nuances of the piece are not coming through, so.... yeah, I could use some help. Plus, I've only made it halfway through the first bar and .... I had to take a hot bath and a couple of aspirins. Maybe this is too ambitious......

I knew you had potential for contribution on this thread Joe.

Ralf: I'm delighted to see you address a serious topic for a change.

Well, Joe started to veer towards clothing and I just tried to correct it by bringing the topic back to...strings.
Ralf

Thank you Ralf.
I, and many others here, appreciate your focused energy, and your habile aptitude for bringing the herd back on the trail.

Well, thank GOD that Ralf is keeping us on topic!! You know, I was gonna use my usual and favorite strings for that piece but, as I stared at the page of music for a while, I'm afraid they might come off just a tad too BRIGHT, if you know what I mean. I feel like the wrong string choice could ruin that piece...... :dejection:

IMHO strings for each type should be discussed in their corresponding section: archies & hollow, solid & chambered, acoustic & acoustic electric. Anyone asking a question about pork gut strings should be referred to the bar-b-que section where we can also swap recipes. But I digress. My preference would be linguini al dente.

while we're on the subject, does anyone really believe in global warming/global cooling/climate change/string change?

Oh, absolutely - climate change affects *everything*, right? It has caused my G string to keep breaking, which is very embarrassing...

Tom, I think GHS Bright Bronze would be appropriate for this piece...

Yeah, I think Yoko's idea would be a good one, a new person coming to the site would see the string-section and
know where they should go with their question...maybe...or maybe not...

Can someone tell me how to make a UDK that says "GHS Bright Bronze?"

walrus, I don't think it's the weather that's causing your G-string to break. Maybe it's your suntan lotion? No. That would be why it slips..... :cupcake:
