I promise pics soon...but you can go to youtube and see me playing it. (I'm a jazzer, mostly) Look up Naima or Boowannabe. Please forgive my sloppy playing and appearance...it was a hard day! I'm also a Bluesbird-a-holic, and for the life of me, I don't understand why Guild (Fender) would discontinue one of the best electric guitars ever made. :? Thanks for the welcome, pics coming soon.

I beg to differ, c-fire. You're on stage ... playing with a band ... with some serious jazz chops. You look like a rockstar to me. Or would that be a jazzstar. Jazzystar? Anyway, both you and your guitars look and sound great up there on stage (although you look better with the Bluesbird in hand. ). Thanks for sharing.

+1 to that.
I never spent much time in the jazz modes, but every time I listen to Greats such as Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass or Herb Ellis, I'm always impressed to realize how these scales on different modes can open your horizon as a guitarist (whatever your musical style may be) and your vids make me feel like venturing into those scales of yours! Great job.
Beautiful quilted sunburst too...

Thanks, T-face...and bluesypicky! It was not on stage, just a tiny little rehearsal cubicle. I tried taking some pics tonight, but they don't do my Bluesbird justice. I will see if I can get some better pics later on tonight. If not, I'll just post what I have, if I can. Never done pics on this forum before. Again, thanks for being so kind.

Those BBs are so damn pretty. I'm actually partial to that flamey one meself. Tried to trade into one up here in the states, so far no go. The Bluesbird remains an elusive and beautiful goal.

And so damned inexpensive !!

Hello Doggie. You probably don't share my price perspective, but from where I'm standing, ca. $1000 for a quality guitar like a Bluesbird is insane !!

I've had that BB for probably 5 years now ....... bought on US Ebay from a pom who was "going home".
I've never molested it in any way but, when I receive the BB that Pascal demo'ed, I plan on making one of the two sound "different" from the other. My current thoughts run to "borrowing" my nephew's HB-1's that he removed from his '76 SF and replaced with HB-sized P90's. And I plan on experimenting with different value / type tone caps. I'll document anything that I decide to do on the Forum.
In the meantime, I'm up to my elbows in project amplifiers.

Best of luck with your Bluesbird quest. "The One" is out there ........ it just hasn't found you yet. And, you will not be disappointed.

Kindest regards,

Gary.

Thanks for the encouragement. The right one is out there. It just hasn't come around yet. And I do share your price perspective. Buyers routinely shell out two and three times that for high end Les Pauls. The BB is such a worthy (and different) contender in that zone. Quality just as high, price not nearly.

And BTW, another hello and welcome to Campy. Your youtube take on Naima is a major reason I want to try the Bluesbird. That's some good sound, right there.
